We pitched an idea we’d never seen: running on water. We watched documentaries on the Jesus Christ lizard and did tests with GI Joe action figures in the bathtub to understand splash patterns and reflections. If humans could theoretically run on water, what would it actually look like? We composed the images intuitively in camera and used clever lighting techniques and then worked with a CGI artist to complete the images. The final product is something that blends reality and fiction and pushes the boundaries of your imagination.
